About

Kathy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of Oregon and North Carolina. Kathy has a Master’s Degree in Social Work and has worked as a mental health therapist, a case manager, a care manager, and a hospice social worker. She is also registered as an approved clinical supervisor with the Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers (OBLSW). Over her years of experience she has served people with a wide range of challenges including substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, stress, chronic illnesses, end-of-life issues, caregiver fatigue, relationship issues, career challenges, and grief and loss. One of Kathy’s main specialities is pet loss grief support.

Kathy strives to practice cultural competence and cultural humility and understands that it’s a lifelong journey. Kathy believes in treating everyone with respect, dignity, sensitivity, and compassion. Kathy is there to support her clients with their goals.  Her therapy style is warm, interactive, and person-centered. Her approach combines dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness therapy, narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, and principles of positive psychology.
