Dr. Cliff Singer is a psychiatrist and geriatrician, coming to Maine in 2010 after many years at Oregon Health and Science University and the University of Vermont. He is now Chief of the Center for Geriatrics Cognitive and Mental Health at Northern Light Acadia Hospital in Bangor, Maine and Research Professor at the University of Maine. He leads a multidisciplinary team at the Mood and Memory Clinic at Northern Light Acadia Hospital and the Robert C. Strauss Alzheimer’s Disease Research Program. He was the founding president of the Oregon Geriatrics Society and past president of the Maine Dirigo Geriatrics Society. He’s received awards for research and clinical work with older adults in both Oregon and Maine. The Maine Council on Aging gave him their annual “Trailblazer Award” for innovations in clinical care and research in dementia. And the Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center Family Medicine Residents gave him their Faculty Teaching Award in 2016. He’s been selected by peers to “Best Doctors in America” every year since 2004.  Referrals will go to the multidisciplinary Mood and Memory Clinic at Northern Light Acadia Hospital.
